Lymphedema and TENS

Lymphedema
Patients with lymphedema may experience pain caused by the swelling and pressure on nerves; loss of muscle tissue and function; or scar tissue causing shortening of muscles and less movement at joints. Pain may be treated with medications, relaxation techniques, and/or transcutaneous electric nerve stimulation (TENS), the treatment is to decrease the lymphedema.

My agent in the US received an email from a lady and I thought I would pass some of the contents onto you, it was regarding her build up of lactic acid.
Well she had been going to have her legs massaged she was also using a tens machine she had purchased.
She went on to say that her portable machine wasn't cheap, $750 US ($1003.00AUD) but she thought it was worth it ! Makes our machine look good at $299.95 aud.
She said she was around 50% better when she used the tens machine daily.
In her understanding, tens pulsed her muscles, which produced blood flow, and removed lactic acid from her muscles; the chemical responsible for pain when your muscles are in spasm.
She was very impressed with her tens machine. She said that the machine made her feel her overall mood had improved and she used the tens machine daily, and it decreased her pain.
Not bad and also you cannot buy a tens in the states without a doctors certificate and you just can't buy them like we can over the counter.
