What causes fibromyalgia?
It is not yet fully understood. Fibromyalgia has not one, but many different causes. The suspect causes for the onset of fibromyalgia include sleep disturbances, physical injury, stress, viral infection, allergies, hormonal changes, dietary deficiencies, bacterial infection.

How do you know if you have fibromyalgia?
Though the symptoms of FMS also include depression, morning stiffness, tingling in the extremities, tension headaches, mood changes, and concentration problems, the symptoms which seem to be universal in fibromyalgia patients seem to be: pain, fatigue, and sleep disturbances.

Fibromyalgia and irritable bowel syndrome?
A high percentage of individuals with fibromyalgia have also been diagnosed with irritable bowel syndrome. It is believed that up to 70 to 80 percent of fibromyalgia patients also suffer from IBS, a form of inflammatory bowel disease. Irritable bowel syndrome seems to go hand in hand with FMS, similar to the way in which people with fibromyalgia are also found to have depression.

TENS for the PAIN
All Fibromyalgia experts have stated that tens machines will help with the pain. Most sufferers will have their typical tender points and most will either put the electrodes directly over the pain or peripherally either side of the spine.

The high frequency blocks the pain signal which goes to the brain and the low frequency will send endorphins to the area which is being stimulated by the tens machine.

I have just done 3 shows in Queensland and NSW and was quite amazed how many people had fibromyalgia. It is a problem which is getting bigger and the quicker the powers that be find a cure we have two options, the other is to use a tens machine.
